MyTravel was launched in 1986 as Airtours International airways.
Airtours initially flew a fleet of MD-83 aircraft to numerous short haul destinations
across Europe.
During the 1990's the fleet was gradually changed to newer more modern and larger aircraft
and long haul destinations where added.
Eventually, Airtours changed its name to MyTravel and has partner airlines in Scandinavia
and Canada.
In June 2007 it was announced that Thomas Cook would merge with MyTravel.
Already, booking through MyTravel for flights, redirects you to Thomas Cook and holidays
sold on MyTravel's website could be with Thomas Cook.
MyTravel employs around 1800 staff.
